Privacy Policy

Last updated October 4, 2026

The short version

If you write to us through this site, we keep your message so we can reply. We measure how the site is used, without recording your screen, and you can say no to that. We don’t sell anything about you to anyone. Questions: hello@promoat.co.

Who we are

promoat.co is the site of Promoat Group, run by ProMoat Holdings. The group is ProMoat Advisory, Automoat, ProMoat Capital and Habaqa. ProMoat Capital (promoatcapital.com) and Habaqa (habaqa.com) have their own privacy policies for their own sites and services.

What we collect

What you send us. When you use the contact form: your name, your email address, which part of the group you want to reach, and your message.

Collected automatically. Our hosting provider records basic technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages served) to run the site and keep it secure. The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and behaviour signals to tell people apart from bots, under Google’s own privacy policy and terms. We keep the reCAPTCHA score and your browser type with your message.

How we measure the site

To see which parts of the site are useful, we count how it is used: pages visited and buttons pressed. We never record what you type into the form, and we do not record your screen. This is linked to a random visitor number, not your name or email.

When something on the site breaks, an error report (what broke and on which page, with names and emails removed) is sent to us so we can fix it. Error reports keep running even if you say no to measuring.

The tools. PostHog (usage) and Sentry (error reports), which store data primarily in the United States. Usage data is kept for up to seven years and error reports for up to 90 days.

Your choice. If you are in the UK, the European Union or the European Economic Area, we ask before measuring anything, and nothing is measured until you press Accept. Anyone can change their answer with Privacy choices at the foot of every page.

How we use your information

  • To read your message, pass it to the right part of the group, and reply.
  • To see how the site is used and fix what is broken, as described above.
  • To protect the site from spam and abuse.
  • To meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information and we don’t share it with advertisers. It passes through:

  • Vercel, which hosts the site.
  • Neon, the database where contact messages are kept.
  • Resend, which sends our emails.
  • Google reCAPTCHA, which protects the form from bots.
  • PostHog and Sentry, for measuring the site and error reports.
  • The part of the group you asked to reach, so they can reply.

Beyond that, only to professional advisers under confidentiality, to authorities when the law requires it, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, in which case this policy still applies.

Where your data lives

Our providers store data primarily in the United States. If you’re in Nigeria or elsewhere, that means your information is transferred internationally. We use established providers with strong security practices.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages for as long as the conversation needs, plus sensible business records. Ask us and we will delete yours unless the law requires us to keep it. Usage data and error reports follow the periods above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or limit how we use it, withdraw consent (including to measuring, with Privacy choices), and complain to your data protection authority. In Nigeria, that is the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Email hello@promoat.co; we may ask you to confirm who you are first.

Cookies

No advertising cookies. PostHog sets analytics cookies and browser storage to recognise a returning visitor; where we ask first, they are set only after you press Accept, and never if you decline. One cookie remembers your Privacy choices answer for 12 months. Google reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies to do its job.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
